Ace Outdoors offers a wide range of courses for schools and youth groups. Whether you are looking for an outdoor adventure day or longer residential activity course, you can be assured that your school visit is in safe hands and will be of the highest quality.

Our adventure activities give young people the opportunity to try new experiences in unfamiliar surroundings, to challenge themselves and to strive to reach their true or hidden potential.

We fully support the key outdoor education initiatives such as the 'Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) Manifesto' and the 'Every Child Matters' agenda. We are members of the Institute of Outdoor Learning and hold our own Adventure Activities Licence as an independent activity provider.

All of our courses are structured learning programmes. They can be designed around the needs of pupils to promote a wide range of personal and social skills, enabling them to achieve a range of positive learning outcomes.

Whatever the pupil’s key stage, their ability, or other goals they may have in life, we can personalise the course to your own learning aims and objectives, delivering the greatest impact for your pupils.

We offer a number of themed outdoor programmes for schools and youth groups using outdoor activities to develop communication skills, leadership, self-esteem, real-life problem solving and, most of all, to make learning fun!

What makes our approach to experiential learning different to other larger scale operators is that we work hard to develop positive relationships first. We can then develop the necessary technical skills and help build the confidence required for everyone in the group to try something new and adventurous.

Working on a ratio of no more than 12:1 participants are taken through a step-by-step process that combines group exercises with practical hands-on learning opportunities; whether it be abseiling from a cliff top, a team challenge session in the gym or playground, or on a remotely supervised overnight camping trip over a number of days in Scotland or overseas.
