Corporate Responsibility
At Ace Outdoors we take our corporate environmental responsibility very
seriously. We try to minimise impact on the places we use for our adventure
activities.
- Where possible we work with landowners to limit the impact of our
outdoor activities on the local environment. We always take out whatever
we take in and clear litter where we find it. All of our group activities
and outdoor education programmes aim to leave places better than how
we found them, promoting good environmental practice.
- At crags and other sensitive upland environments we carry out all
human waste and associated litter. In this way we are helping to keep
places as we wish to find them for the future and help to protect them
from harm.
- We try to keep our carbon footprint small and encourage car sharing
between venues.
- We support locally produced goods and services.
- We try our best to help fragile rural/upland economies by sourcing
goods and services locally. Where possible we make use of local co-operatives
and organic food suppliers, particularly for our vegetarian and vegan
all-inclusive holidays.
- We recycle.
- Where possible we look at ways of reducing the paper we
use and use only items that have been made from recycled or sustainable
sources.
- We buy and sell fairly.
- We are committed to buying and selling Fair trade products where
possible.
- Beyond this, we trade ethically, paying all of our suppliers fairly
and on time.
- When you attend one our courses we'll always offer
you a cup of Fair Trade tea, coffee or hot chocolate before and
after your course.
- Lastly, we are Vegans.
We take great pride in the welfare of animals
and people very seriously. Everyone is welcome on our courses,
however, only vegetarian or vegan meals will be provided on our all-inclusive
residential adventure packages.
